About the Role

The Financial Accountant - ANZ is a key position within the Clorox Australia and New Zealand finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role requires a high level of expertise in financial accounting, with a focus on general ledger management, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Ledger Management
    • Monitor and reconcile financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Prepare and review monthly standing and miscellaneous journals.
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Tax Compliance
    • Prepare and review indirect tax returns (FBT/GST/PAYE/NRTW).
    • Reconcile ATO/IRD statements for FBT/GST/PAYE/NRWT taxes.
    • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Provide financial information and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Fixed Asset Management
    • Review and approve capital expenditure requests.
    • Ensure accurate and timely fixed asset reporting.
    • Perform cycle count tests and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Assist with Concur query management and resolution.
    • Support external audit and Sarbanes (SOX) quarterly certifications.
    • Perform other internal control requirements and reporting as delegated by the Accounting Controls Manager.
Requirements
  • A minimum of five years accounting experience in a financial accounting role.
  • NetSuite ERP System experience.
  • Exposure to foreign currency reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
