Job Description

  • Complete assigned work orders generated from requests for service, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the property is in good repair.
  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing by completing make-ready processes, including pre-move-out inspections and scheduling necessary repairs.
  • Access and obtain materials, supplies, and equipment as needed, while maintaining accurate inventory records and notifying management of re-ordering needs.
  • Document all work and service requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain the grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing general cleaning, pressure washing, and other tasks as required.
  • Inspect work performed by contractors and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Attend safety meetings, complete required training, and report accidents and incidents promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service by treating residents with respect and responding to complaints in a sensitive manner.

Experience:

  • Service or maintenance technician experience, preferably in the multifamily industry.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry systems.
  • Certifications such as CPO or HVAC certification may be beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Safe use of manual and power tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding safely, and transport heavy objects up to 250 pounds.
