Nurse Unit Manager Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced nursing professional to lead and direct a nursing care team within a healthcare facility. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to a 25-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU) that delivers acute cardiac, medical, and high dependency surgical care.

This position involves providing operational direction for the ward to ensure efficient and effective management of the area and coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based. You will be accountable for the effective management of human, financial, and material resources, ensuring customer service is maintained at optimal levels.

  • Specialised Nursing Experience in Cardiology/Critical Care: We require candidates with experience in cardiology/critical care nursing, preferably with a postgraduate certificate or working towards it in the same field.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Previous experience as a Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent is essential, along with strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
