About You

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following key skills and qualifications:

  • Provide specialist geriatric care to patients/clients allocated to you, working within your awarded Scope of Clinical Practice (So CP) as determined by Metro North Health and limited by the Clinical Service Capability Framework (CSCF) of individual facilities.
  • Provide high-level, specialist knowledge and skills, consultation, and advice to patients, General Practitioners, and to the department, as required.
  • Actively take part in quality improvement, risk management, peer review, Morbidity and Mortality meetings, and audits to demonstrate positive change as a result.
  • Undertake self-initiated reflective practice and maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to uphold professional competence and expertise.
  • Provide clinical governance and supervision of staff reporting to you, including junior medical staff.
