Experienced Site Manager Sought for High-Rise Residential Projects

Leading Australian builder with a reputation for delivering cutting-edge projects is looking for an experienced site manager to oversee high-rise residential projects in Sydney.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned project manager to lead multiple projects from start to finish, working closely with the leadership team to ensure successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and stakeholder relationships.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage projects onsite from beginning to end, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Effectively manage all site resources, including labor and equipment.
  • Deliver projects safely and efficiently through meeting project success criteria and stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain and improve the construction program, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and provide practical solutions to daily on-site challenges and obstacles.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor team members to achieve their full potential and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in delivering projects in excess of $100 million, preferably in the high-rise residential sector.
  • Strong tenure with reputable businesses, demonstrating a commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Proven experience in running your own site and program, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Tertiary qualifications or degree in Building & Construction or a related field.
  • Excellent planning, programming, and scheduling skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in delivering projects in Australia, with a deep understanding of local regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability to lead, plan for, and manage onsite resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of labor and equipment.
  • Strong experience in maintaining and promoting health and safety in the workplace, with a focus on creating a safe and inclusive work environment.
