Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading the implementation of a comprehensive community safety strategy, aligned with the local government's strategic plan.

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams across environmental health, building compliance, parking enforcement, and ranger operations to achieve organisational goals.
  • Rapidly respond to high-risk situations, maintaining community trust and organisational reputation.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture ensuring respectful and timely service delivery.
  • Champion innovation and digital transformation initiatives, including mobile inspections, data analytics, and automation.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders, such as NSW Police, EPA, Health, and neighbouring councils, to address shared community safety challenges.
  • Conduct complex investigations and represent the organisation in legal and regulatory proceedings.
  • Monitor performance dashboards using data insights to inform strategic improvements.
