Job Title

Deliver innovative engineering and technology solutions to make lives safe, secure, sustainable, and affordable.

  • Provide systems and safety engineering expertise for nationally significant Defence projects.
  • Deliver systems engineering and safety assurance support for transport and infrastructure projects in Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne.
  • Digitise systems engineering processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Implement machine learning and big data analytics to optimise the management of critical infrastructure.
About This Role
  • IDentify and minimise technical risks to projects using proven Systems Engineering and Assurance approaches throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
  • Lead Verification and Validation efforts program across the project, ensuring user needs are captured and met through design and related activities.
  • Engage and close coordinate with project leadership and stakeholders, including Design, Construction, Software, Environmental, and Sustainability subject matter experts, to ensure technical compliance and support safety case submissions.
  • Facilitate workshops to identify risks and controls to enhance Systems Safety, RAM, Human Factors implementation in design and delivery.
  • Generate technical management plans, systems architecture, configuration and change management processes, and supporting integration and interfacing with external projects and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship and/or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance (essential).
  • Bachelor of Engineering / Science Degree (desired).
  • Experience within regulated industries / frameworks, for example; Defence, transport, nuclear, energy, pharmaceuticals (desired).
  • Systems engineering knowledge and experience (desired).
  • System safety and assurance experience (desired).
  • Professional body membership, for example Engineers Australia, INCOSE / SESA (highly regarded).
  • Experienced in the application of systems engineering tools, for example DOORS, MBSE tools (highly regarded).
  • Excellent communications, client management/stakeholder engagement (highly regarded).
