About this role

Citywide is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst - Commercial Partner to partner with Operational Leaders and deliver financial support and analysis that aligns with the operational and financial objectives of the business.

This role will be accountable for analyzing key financial information to aid commercial decision-making, ensuring future growth and profitability. You will also be responsible for monthly reporting and variance analysis against budget and forecast for the business unit, contract performance reviews, and generation of management reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the key point of contact for operational business leaders regarding operational performance and reporting.
  • Monthly reporting and variance analysis against budget and forecast for the business unit, including contract performance, reviews, and generation of management reports, P&L, cash flow reporting, and balance sheet analysis.
  • Monitor and review reports, establish and maintain accounting and accounting control procedures, and ensure major change events are supported by appropriate financial analysis.
  • Process monthly journal entries, including month-end accruals, and preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Drive the annual forecasting and budgeting process for the business unit's P&L, conduct scenario analysis for various value-add initiatives, and provide assistance for the business unit's annual strategic planning process.
  • Mentor and train business stakeholders in the management of their financial accountabilities, including budget and forecast management, billing and collection of outstanding invoices, WIP management, procurement, and other related tasks.
  • Provide financial modeling and other financial assistance to the business unit's tender proposals, assist in compiling business case justifications, contractual variation claims, and growth initiatives, and assist the Corporate Finance team with annual statutory requirements.
  • Develop initiatives to improve processes and identify efficiencies, and perform other ad-hoc projects/tasks as directed.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Prior Business partnering experience.
  • Relevant Business/Finance-related degree.
  • CPA/CA qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel.
