Service Type Overview:

The Client Data Services Unit (DSU) requires Classification and Coding Advisory Services. The successful supplier will report to the DSUs existing Classification and Coding team and support critical activities to ensure the quality of coded data used by various areas in the department.

To be successful in this engagement, the supplier analyst providing this service would require a health information management qualification and/or a clinical coding qualification and experience.

Job Scope/Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Providing enquirers who submitted a coding committee query a written response of their resolved query and preparation of coding committee queries for publication.
  • Provide input to coding-related responses to data requests received by the unit.
  • Data Set Maintenance, support the manager in providing written feedback on classification development papers.
  • Process Documentation.

Mandatory/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Health information management qualification and/or a clinical coding qualification and experience.
  • Experience working in a clinical coding function in a health provider organization such as hospitals will be a requirement.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years plus experience in project delivery as a business analyst in the health sector.
  • Extensive experience with documenting business requirements and functional design through user stories, wireframes, screen mockups, etc.
  • Experience with negotiating with users, technical staff and product owners to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to lead workshops and work directly with solution stakeholders.
