As a Training Officer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of law enforcement personnel. You will be responsible for delivering, assessing, and evaluating training programs focused on firearms, operational skills, and tactics.
The role involves working closely with colleagues to develop and implement education and training initiatives that meet the needs of police officers and staff members at various levels. Your expertise will be utilized to improve the effectiveness of training programs, ensuring they are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs that cater to the diverse needs of police officers and staff members.
- Apply adult education methodologies relevant to operational skills training programs and internal education policies and processes.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to staff members.
- Assess program participants and prepare reports based on these assessments.
- Plan, facilitate, and review the delivery and assessment of education and training programs.
- Develop effective working relationships with members of the police service and other agencies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of course curricula through research, evaluation, and development.
- Maintain information management systems to monitor and record training and assessment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
