Event Partnership Officer - Major Events

We are seeking a highly skilled Event Partnership Officer to lead the management of our diverse sponsorship portfolio of major events.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of Cairns' event landscape, supporting major event delivery, driving strategic partnerships and ensuring positive outcomes for our community and economy.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse sponsorship portfolio of major events, ensuring successful outcomes and positive economic benefits.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to drive value to the Cairns economy.
  • Contribute to the development of event acquisition and development strategies.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Events Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing funding or partnership agreements.
  • Well-founded understanding of the events industry, including technical and logistical aspects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of event marketing practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
