As an Inventory Analyst at Wesco International, Inc., you will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory and service levels. Your focus will be on analyzing data and executing strategies to ensure efficient inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain accurate, scheduled reports to track inventory levels and performance.
- Reconcile report data to ensure data integrity and identify areas for improvement.
- Audit processing errors and bad data points to ensure report accuracy.
- Maintain report contact databases and control user access to shared network drives.
- Execute on-demand processes and reports, adjusting input parameters and data as needed.
- Assist in ad-hoc report development and execution, including modifying existing SQL and formatting data.
- Prepare and analyze data for various projects and initiatives, summarizing findings in PowerPoint or Microsoft Word format.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a similar quantitative discipline.
- APICS, CPFM, CPM certifications preferred.
- 1 year of related experience, preferably in the distribution industry.
- Ability to follow established processes and schedule to deliver timely and consistent report execution.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including creating and editing macros.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, including creating basic queries and reports.
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL statements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to apply these in a business environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of distribution industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
