We are offering an estimated salary range of $120,000-$150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Description

The Senior Information Security Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying and managing business risks in support of FCTG's growth objectives. Reporting to the Australian Security Operations Lead, your responsibilities will extend across people, processes, and technology with a focus on security operations and practices.

As a key member of the security team, you will engage in complex and challenging projects to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of FCTG's information assets. This includes facilitating vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements undertaken by third-party specialists, coordinating reporting and remediation activities, and collaborating with DevOps teams to ensure operational tasks align to policy and security best practice.

You will also be involved in end-to-end processes of incident management and response, responding to information security requests and questions from internal business units, and advising, reviewing, and approving security-related change requests.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Information Technology role with at least 5 years in a security role
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience
  • Sound operational knowledge and experience with using security technologies and controls, including Firewalls, SIEM, EDR, Proxy, WAF, Identity & Access Management, Vulnerability Management, penetration testing, IDS/IDP, and PKI
  • An understanding of relevant industry standards and guidelines, including ISO, PCI-DSS, and the Australian Privacy Act
  • Good understanding of concepts across the technology stack, including Cloud (AWS/Azure), Windows/Linux servers, networking, storage, and networking
