About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled Highway Maintenance Specialists to join our team in a permanent role based out of our Clayton depot.

As a critical member of our crew, you will be responsible for delivering routine maintenance and defect rectification works, as well as refurbishment and upgrade projects, under a major long-term contract with the Victorian Government.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rapidly responding to incidents and emergencies across the network.
  • Carrying out scheduled routine servicing and hazard and defect rectification works for pavements, bridges, and other structural assets, and all roadside assets (barriers, signage, vegetation).
  • Completing all works with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Recording works-related data in the field, in line with work instructions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Participating in daily pre-start and shift-close meetings, contributing ideas for changes and improvements in work practices to enhance safety and efficiency.
About You

We are looking for individuals who possess at least 12 months' experience working as part of a crew maintaining pavements, bridges, and other structural assets, and/or roadside assets (barriers, signage, vegetation).

Prior experience in TMA is preferred but not essential. Road safety barrier (Guard Rail/WRSB) experience is also desirable.

You should have a strong commitment to teamwork, driving service excellence, and continuous improvement, as well as a proven track record of prioritizing worker, road user, and community safety.

A high level of self-motivation, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision are essential.

Sound digital and data management skills, including familiarity with field applications for works management, are also required.

Formal qualifications (Cert III or higher) in civil construction are a bonus, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability.
