Estimated Salary: AU$ 65,000 - AU$ 85,000 per annum
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to join our team at Centacare. As a key member of our early education program, you will be responsible for delivering quality education and care to children aged 6 months to kindergarten level.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Creating engaging and educational experiences that support children's well-being and development;
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, and social growth;
- Working collaboratively with our established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families;
- Promoting our service within the local community and ensuring alignment with our educational philosophy;
- Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge;
- Fostering strong relationships with families, educators, and the community.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines;
- A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check);
- Knowledge and understanding of childcare industry practices, including legislative requirements and quality frameworks;
- A passion for the education and care of young children in a play-based learning environment;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
