Job Title: Network OfficerNetwork Officer Position

This role is a critical front-line position in the provision of customer service. As a Network Officer, you will be responsible for engaging with diverse audiences and navigating various scenarios where quick thinking and assertiveness are essential.

You will be constantly on your feet and in motion, traveling on the bus network and providing a presence at bus stops and transport interchanges. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in a team-based environment and wear a uniform that includes a body camera.

This position is based on a rotating roster including day and afternoon shifts, with some weekend work. You will receive comprehensive training and support before deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality customer service and assistance to passengers
  • Educate customers about ticketing products and the public transportation network
  • Participate in community outreach programs or activities
  • Maintain a visible presence onboard buses to enhance passenger and driver safety
  • Complete daily reports on activities and incidents
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport
  • Ability to remain calm in tense situations and exercise good judgment
  • Conflict resolution skills and ability to de-escalate and resolve situations
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Well-presented, polite, and courteous demeanor
  • Assertive and able to ask customers questions
  • Ability to follow established procedures and policies
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports
