Job Opportunity: Expert Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team.


Job Description:

  • Undertake the provisioning, maintenance, security hardening, capacity planning and performance testing of network (data, storage) systems infrastructure.
  • Participate in 2nd line IT incident and security response capability for network infrastructure.
  • Produce design, automation scripts, technical documentation, reports and records regarding infrastructure solutions.
  • Improve, harden, test, implement, monitor and tune networking software/hardware to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issues.
  • Manage the analysis of network traffic data and providing recommendations on performance and security improvements to network infrastructures as appropriate.
  • Undertake acceptance tests and commissioning communications systems and equipment.
  • Occasional scheduled work at our Business Resumption Site will be required.
  • Work with cyber security team to improve Bank's protections and remediate vulnerabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree preferred in IT coupled with Industry accreditations in Cisco and ITIL.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking infrastructure covering both Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
  • Strong experience with Firewalls Cisco and/or Palo Alto and applicable management tools to manage such as Cisco Security Manager (CSM).
  • Strong expertise with network tools such as Cisco DNA Centre.
  • Strong expertise with F5 (LTM, GTM and BIGIQ).
  • Strong experience in writing policies and procedures and other support documentation.
  • Strong experience or willingness to learn: Python and relevant scripting languages to automate activities.
  • Good general knowledge of IT infrastructure and service management practices.
  • Good working knowledge or willingness to learn Network management tools like: Stat seeker and Infoblox.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Nice to have: Experience in Cisco SDDC and Cisco storage fabric management and SD-WAN & a working knowledge on Venafi and VMWare products.
