The City of Canterbury Bankstown Council is one of the largest in NSW, serving diverse communities in Sydney. Our council delivers 28 key services including childcare, waste management, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities, and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.

Job Description
  • Support the accuracy and integrity of financial records across the Council.
  • Contribute to treasury functions, cash management, and statutory reporting processes.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and monthly financial reports.
  • Maintain general ledger journals and asset register data.
  • Participate in internal and external audit activities.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will possess good communication skills, both written and verbal, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

Key Requirements
  • Curently studying in final or penultimate year of tertiary studies in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Finance.
  • Good attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
