Financial Advisory Specialist

Seeking an experienced Accounting Officer to join our dynamic business advisory team. This part-time, permanent role offers personalized mentorship and ongoing professional development opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing complex business advice and producing special purpose reports for clients. They will also prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individual businesses.
This key role involves liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients. For senior candidates, delegating and reviewing work of junior team members, providing coaching and support to ensure correct accounting and taxation standards are applied.
- Prepare business advice and/or produce complex special purpose reports for clients.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and tax returns for a range of businesses.
- Liaise with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
- Delegate and review work of junior team members, ensuring accurate accounting and taxation standards.
To succeed in this role, you'll need relevant experience working in the public practice sector, a degree or diploma, and proficiency in Excel with cloud accounting products like Xero or MYOB.
