Chief Governance Officer Position

The People Project Tasmania is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to bridge the gap in rural and remote communities by providing general practice nursing, allied health, disability, and aged care services.

We are one of seven Rural Workforce Agencies in Australia, funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments, coordinating national initiatives and delivering programs such as the Health Workforce Scholarship Program and Care Coordination for people with a My Aged Care package.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your experience in practice management, health service delivery, business financial skills, and lived or sector experience in disability or aged care to drive our strategic objectives forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and participate in the development and implementation of our organisational strategy, governance policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare providers, and community groups.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, maintaining the highest level of corporate governance.
