Drive Environmental Impact with Strategic Nature Management

About the Role

As a key member of our Sustainability team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing nature-related initiatives that support Coles' sustainability goals. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategic programs and initiatives that align with our Nature Roadmap.

  • Develop comprehensive plans to support the delivery of Coles' Nature Roadmap
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement water efficiency strategies across business units
  • Work closely with suppliers to understand and mitigate nature-related risks and opportunities
  • Design and deliver engaging content for various communication channels

You will report directly to the Head of Sustainability Governance and Engagement and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive results.

About You and Your Skills

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in nature and biodiversity. You should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in sustainability, either in a corporate setting or through environmental consulting/policy development
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Science, Engineering, or Law
  • Proven project management skills with complex programs of work
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
