Clinical Genetics Registrar

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term 0.5EFT (21.5hrs/wk) registrar position in the general genetics service at Monash Health.

The successful candidate will work alongside two advanced trainees who work across both the general genetics and cancer genetics services.

Our full-time and sessional consultant clinical geneticists oversee the medical care of our diverse and multi-ethnic patient cohort in conjunction with our genetic counselling team.

The successful candidate will work as part of this multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective person-centred care, provide teaching and supervision of students, and undertake training/supervision towards attaining Fellowship of the relevant college.

This position will provide exposure to a wide range of specialty clinic streams, including paediatric, adult, and prenatal/reproductive genetics.

It is particularly well-suited to a candidate with a specific interest in neurogenetics, given that we are the only service in Victoria to offer both paediatric and adult neurogenetics services with a high need in this sub-specialty.
