Job Summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Northern Industries Team based in Cedar Creek. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory operations and test results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with laboratory operations, including quarry laboratory operations and mobile site testing.
  • Conduct compliance testing for samples of aggregate, soils, road base, and CTB material.
  • Ensure laboratory and production facility compliance with NATA and Department of Main Roads Construction Materials Testing Supplier Registration System.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Assist with the design and performance of laboratory mix designs/ blends & quarry R&D to the required specifications.
  • Direct responsibility for source rock schedules for all materials, and Lot Control / Lot Management.
  • Assist Laboratory Foreman and Lab. Supervisor while ensuring all tests are reported through our reporting tool Qestlab effectively.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of laboratory and production facility calibration requirements.
  • Quarry and soils testing laboratory experience, techniques, and accreditation (advantageous).
  • Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Questlab.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative, ethical behavior in a client-facing environment and a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated skills in research, evaluation, interpretation, and delivery of data.
