Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Lead the strategic direction, planning, decision-making, and overall performance of in-country business functions.
- Financial Expertise: Contribute to projects as required and assist and advise on various aspects of merger & acquisition activities and overall accountability for the delivery of corporate finance activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead the local finance and accounting team who collaborate with global colleagues to deliver timely and accurate accounting, financial planning & analysis.
- Financial Planning: Lead the implementation of annual budget and monthly forecast process for the APAC region.
- Compliance and Governance: Oversee the coordination of the annual audit, including liaising with internal and external auditors and accountants.
- Policy Development: Draft and implement effective corporate governance documents, including resolutions, delegation of authority, and other policies.
- Legal Advice: Ensure delivery of effective legal advice, legal documents, and resolution of claims through collaboration with global legal team and external counsel.
- Contract Negotiation: Assist in negotiating and drafting favorable contracts and ensures approval of material contracts and deviations from internal policies.
- Risk Management: Lead regional and contribute to global enterprise risk management process.
- Technical Accounting Skills: Strong technical accounting skills and commercial acumen.
- Legal Experience: Demonstrated experience in reviewing, drafting, advising in, and broad-based legal experience, including the negotiation of complex commercial contracts – domestic and international.
- Corporate Governance: Proven experience in corporate governance activities within a multinational organisation.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including at the C-Suite and Board of Director levels.
- Leadership Abilities: Well-developed leadership skills including the ability to influence with and without direct authority.
- M&A Experience: Experience working on M&A and corporate financing transactions.
- Business Experience: Business experience in Asia Pacific region preferred.
- Qualifications: Formal and postgraduate qualifications in Business or a related field preferred.
