Overview
Our Risk team, aligned with Central Finance, plays a crucial role in assisting various financial divisions, including Group Accounting and Reporting, Advisory and Governance, Treasury Finance, and Regional Finance, in managing their Financial and Regulatory Reporting Risk and Control Frameworks. This is achieved through effective governance and monitoring, risk advisory support, assurance reviews, attestation activities, and evaluating the adequacy of risk and policy training.
Key Responsibilities
You will be instrumental in spearheading the controls enhancement initiatives within Central Finance and across the broader Finance teams, focusing on risk monitoring, training, and governance activities. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead the execution of significant initiatives and engage with senior leadership at Macquarie, offering valuable insights and recommendations regarding compliance with our policies, standards, and frameworks.
Qualifications
- Chartered accountant with over 7 years of experience in a Financial Institution
- Comprehensive understanding of Finance functions within a Financial Institution, including financial and regulatory reporting
- Experience in Line 1 Risk and Control Advisory and Governance roles
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of managing stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and a willingness to challenge the status quo
- Proficient in presenting, memo, and report writing for senior audiences
