About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology/Palliative Care Ward. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care. Our ward is a 30-bed public medical ward, primarily caring for oncology patients and those requiring end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care, prioritizing the needs of our patients and their families.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring our ward meets the highest standards of care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
