Senior Project Architect

This role is ideal for a skilled and experienced architect who has a passion for leading high-profile projects from conception to completion.


About the Role:
  • We are seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our team, responsible for delivering complex construction documentation and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing project planning, resource allocation, and team performance, with excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead project teams to develop accurate and comprehensive construction documentation, from post-DA approval to completion.
  2. Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and team performance to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  3. Liaise with internal stakeholders for approvals and sign-offs at key milestones, ensuring seamless project execution.
  4. Collaborate with external partners, including builders, consultants, and other stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.
  5. Evaluate and ensure strict adherence to building regulations, planning controls, and industry standards.
  6. Conduct regular quality checks at each stage, applying expertise in construction detailing and design.
  7. Review design work to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years post-graduate experience within Architecture, including a minimum of 5+ years local experience, ideally registered.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit construction documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience in Class 2 multi-residential projects, currently leading own projects.
  • Deep understanding of the Design and Building Practitioner Regulation (DBP), Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Current working visa or residency status essential for this role.
