Key Animator Position

About this role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled animator to join our team as a key animator. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the creation of engaging animations and motion graphics.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging motion graphics and animations for various digital platforms, including social media and dynamic presentations.
  • Develop key art and design concepts from scratch, including creating style frames and references to communicate ideas.
  • Contribute to the conceptualization and development of creative concepts for animation projects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, editors, sound design, account directors and production teams.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on animations and motion graphics to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Work across large-scale After Effects projects efficiently and competently.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all projects and deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to present and justify strategy, ideation and design concepts.
  • Provide guidance to junior designers and other teams.
  • Stay updated with and proactively explore the latest tools, techniques, and trends in animation to elevate our work.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional development, including other animation programs like Cinema 4D and Unreal.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience in animating a wide range of projects, from shorter, social media-based assets, to longer scripted pieces, commercial projects and/or documentaries
  • High-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
  • Advanced design & composition skills
  • Excellent understanding of animation, movement and pacing
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Confident communication skills, including verbal, nonverbal and online
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively, both individually and as part of the team
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and find innovative solutions during the design & animation process
  • Experience working in collaborative environments, working within a team of designers or collaborating with other departments in larger projects
  • Desired: Experience working with Figma and/or Cinema 4D
