About Support Care Worker

We are seeking part-time and casual support care employees to enhance the independence of elderly consumers in their daily lives. Our team strives to deliver high-quality services that foster choice, improve quality of life, and promote wellbeing.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will work independently to provide support services including personal care, domestic duties, transport, shopping, respite, and access to community activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting consumers' independence in daily activities and living skills
  • Providing personal care, domestic duties, transport, shopping, and respite services
  • Ensuring safe and efficient home care tasks adhering to guidelines and procedures

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Availability for at least three days a week
  • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with consumers, families, and co-workers
  • Genuine interest in helping the elderly
  • Capacity to follow a set task list or care plan for each consumer
  • Knowledge of WHS procedures and safe work practices
  • Understanding of boundaries required to maintain professional relationships with clients
  • Current driver's license with registered, insured, and reliable car
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness, health, and resilience to fulfill the demands of the role
