About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Tradesperson to join our State Maintenance Program team as a Heavy Industry Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing planned preventive and breakdown maintenance throughout the state across 13 sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe workplace by identifying and addressing risks appropriately and demonstrating positive safety behavior.
  • Execute maintenance activities according to the weekly work schedule and unscheduled work as required.
  • Perform preventative electrical maintenance inspections, machine installations & relocations, switch board upgrades, and safety upgrades.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of task-lists, work procedures, and instructions.
Requirements
  • An Electrical trade qualification.
  • Experience in fault-finding activities on complex, heavy industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience of breakdown, repair, and preventative maintenance inspections in a similar industry.
  • Proven history working on overhead cranes, including fault finding, breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that prioritizes people and safety.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret Electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
  • Demonstrate ability to contribute, influence, and make informed technical decisions.
  • Forklift ticket and EWP ticket.
Desirable Skills
  • Post-trade courses.
  • PLC control systems.
  • SAP or equivalent.
  • Safety Systems.
  • HMI and Scada.
