Healthcare Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Professional at one of our residential facilities specialising in Aged Care. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of our patients and their families.

The role will involve working closely with our care team to provide high-quality support services, ensuring that each patient receives exceptional care and attention. You will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks, providing emotional support, and promoting independence where possible.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You must also be able to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge through our comprehensive training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality support services to patients and their families
  • Assisting with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Preparing meals and snacks, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Providing emotional support and promoting independence where possible
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver seamless care

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent
  • Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1
  • NDIS check and worker screen
  • Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
  • Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying, and manual handling
  • Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
  • Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
  • Basic to intermediate digital literacy
