Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections and excellent negotiation skills.

 

The Role:

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable, achieving KPI targets across volume, collected revenue and client relationships
  • Collection duties including receipting and processing payments, reconciliations, collections, hardship negotiations, journals, managing account enquires, processing and reconciling Medicare funding, month end processing, and providing high level of customer service across a complex portfolio

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a medium to large organisation with proven experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Excellent negotiation skills, high level numeracy and system skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, time management and ability to meet deadlines, punctuality, dependability and trustworthiness
  • Experience in ERP Accounting systems, excellent communication skills with key stakeholders, ability to work independently or in a team environment, ability to thrive in a high volume and fast paced environment

 

Key performance indicators include meeting target volumes, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. Successful candidates will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, they should have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing accounts receivable portfolios to ensure timely payment from customers
  • Processing and reconciling invoices, payments, and other financial transactions
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt

To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly organized, with excellent time management and prioritization skills. You should also be able to work effectively in a team environment, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and stakeholders. Finally, you should be committed to delivering high-quality results, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
