About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our team at Respect Aged Care. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our local and wide area networks, server environments, and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, including Linux and Windows server environments.
    • Implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks to maximize uptime and performance.
    • Install, configure, and support network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, DNS, and DHCP.
    • Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to ensure maximum network efficiency and security.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to identify and resolve issues promptly.
    • Arrange scheduled upgrades and maintenance to ensure our network remains up-to-date and secure.
    • Investigate and resolve network faults and issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases to ensure optimal performance.
    • Provide IT support services to staff and respond to logged requests in a timely and effective manner.
    • Direct third-party vendors and guide remote technicians to ensure seamless support.
    • Ensure network quality and security are maintained at all times.
    • Develop and maintain knowledge base documentation to support team projects and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Essential:

    • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent IT certifications and/or substantial experience in a similar role.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of network infrastructure and IT systems.
    • Willingness to travel interstate if required.
    • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).

Desirable:

    • Technical knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, Virtual Private Networking, Firewall/SDWan/Routing, PABX/VoIP administration, Linux Server Administration, Storage Area Networking, and Cloud services.
    • Experience with Microsoft 2012/2016 Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft RDS 2012/2016, Virtualisation Technology (ESXi, Hyper-V), Antivirus Technologies, and Backup Technologies.
