Assistant Centre Manager Job Description

The Assistant Centre Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of young minds. This key position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, fostering a culture of excellence, and empowering educators to provide top-notch care and education.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Providing direction and guidance to centre staff to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Program Development: Implementing and maintaining high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensuring compliance with National Quality Standards (NQS) and ACECQA regulations.
  • Customer Engagement: Maintaining open communication channels with parents, ensuring transparency and fostering positive relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) qualification.
  • Proven experience as an educator within an early childhood service, working with children aged 0-5 years.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Organisational and Time Management Skills: Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
