Assistant Centre Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Centre Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The Assistant Centre Manager will be responsible for supporting the Centre Manager in the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPPORTING CENTRE MANAGEMENT:
  • Assist the Centre Manager in implementing policies and procedures that align with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Support the Centre Manager in managing staff performance, providing guidance and coaching as needed
  • LEADERSHIP AND TEAMWORK:
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by leading by example and promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity
  • Maintain open and effective communication with all team members, ensuring clear expectations and goals are understood
  • EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING:
  • Collaborate with educators to develop and implement engaging and challenging educational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children
  • Ensure the implementation of the EYLF and NQF is embedded in all aspects of centre operations
  • CHILD SAFETY AND WELLBEING:
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in the centre's care, adhering to strict protocols and procedures
  • Participate in regular risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a safe environment
Requirements
  • Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
  • Proven experience working in an early childhood service, preferably in a leadership or management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children, and families
  • Able to provide guidance and support to staff, including coaching and mentoring
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, while maintaining a focus on quality and excellence
