
Holistic Support Worker

This position plays a vital part in an integrated team that attends to the personal needs of residents.
The successful candidate will support residents to live their lives with choice and independence, contributing to their physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants through assessment and observation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents to exercise choice and independence
- Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents
- Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse
- Assist residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging independence
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in individual support or equivalent recognised qualification
- Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
- Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience with the aged person and their needs
- Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care
- Demonstrated respect for residents' privacy, dignity and self-esteem
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
