Accountant Role

Randstad Senior Finance is proud to be partnering with a leading NDIS service provider to find a skilled Accountant to join their dedicated team. With nearly 50 years of experience in supporting individuals with disabilities, this organisation is committed to connecting people with the opportunities they need to live the life they want.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile cash, bank, and General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process fortnightly payroll and manage monthly superannuation payments to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly Portable Long Service Leave and assist with creditor payments and debtor invoicing to maintain financial control.
  • Oversee the production of monthly financial reports and manage traineeship claims to ensure timely execution.
  • Lead, develop, and support the Accounts Coordinator/Receivable Officer to enhance team performance.
  • Assist with WorkCover processes, annual financial audits, and compliance with financial statutory requirements to maintain organisational integrity.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely execution of month-end procedures, including general ledger reconciliations and journal adjustments.
  • Provide advice and training on financial and payroll systems, and maintain documented processes and procedures to ensure continuity.
  • Collaborate with management to produce financial reporting outcomes and meet specific deadlines.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, or Commerce.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., GST, FBT).
  • Experience within the disability services sector (preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills and experience overseeing finance teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong business acumen with the ability to manage conflicting demands and deliver high-quality outcomes within strict deadlines.
  • Advanced computing skills and experience with financial reporting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proven ability to maintain financial controls and ensure statutory compliance, especially within the not-for-profit sector.
