Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team in providing quality on-site servicing and maintenance for loading docks, gates, roller doors and other equipment.

The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. We offer a competitive hourly rate, fully maintained vehicle, paid overtime and opportunities for professional growth and development.

About the Role:

  • We specialise in quality on-site servicing and installation of loading docks, gates, roller doors and other equipment.
  • The successful candidate will carry out services in the field, responding to urgent requests and diagnosing and resolving equipment faults.
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential, as is adherence to health and safety policies.

Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake servicing, installations, preventative maintenance and decommissioning projects.
  2. Respond quickly to urgent requests and diagnose and resolve equipment faults.
  3. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Ensure all Health and Safety policies are adhered to.
  5. Travel occasionally to sites in Canberra and/or Newcastle.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter are highly desirable.
  • An Electrical connect/disconnect licence is preferable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for tasks and time management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and organisational ability.
  • High level of personal integrity and a high standard of personal presentation and professionalism.
  • A current driver's licence is required.
