Backend Architecture Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Backend Architecture Specialist to join our team and help us design the backbone of a next-generation iGaming platform. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for creating robust backend systems using C++ and Unreal Engine.

The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in Blueprint scripting, experience with Live Link, Composure, and Widget creation, as well as proficiency in backend C++ programming. They will also possess significant experience with performance optimization, debugging, and system testing.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who is eager to expand their understanding of the role and take on new responsibilities as their skill set increases.

  • Collaborate effectively with Creative, IT, Production, and Mocap teams.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize backend solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code and Blueprint nodes to assist team onboarding.
  • Develop robust systems utilizing Blueprint, Composure, and Widget (elements/UI) interfaces that are scalable and executable in a package.
  • Work with Live Link.
  • Work with video inputs (SDI input cards including Black Magic, AJA, Genlock, Timecodes).
  • Oversee and enhance database integration between frontend and backend systems.
  • Implement runtime save/load systems.
  • Provide expert-level debugging, performance optimization, memory management, and crash-log analysis.
Key Requirements
  • 6-10+ years of professional experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Advanced expertise in Unreal Engine's Blueprint scripting system.
  • Proven experience with Live Link, Composure, Widget creation, and UI development.
  • Proficiency in backend C++ programming.
  • Significant experience with performance optimization, debugging, and system testing.
Additional Skills
  • Expertise in material creation (learned through Composure use) in Unreal Engine.
  • Expert experience with motion capture workflows and data integration.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Digital Content Creation tools (Photoshop, Blender, 3DS Max, etc.).
  • Python scripting knowledge is a plus.
