About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Sentence Planning Officer. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the safety of the community, staff, and prisoners, while also enabling prisoners to access rehabilitation activities and reintegration support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of Sentence Management Services, performing sentence management functions in a correctional centre or other designated location.
  • Provide administrative and planning support, working as part of a team that delivers sentence management services.
  • Develop and implement effective sentence plans, taking into account the needs and risks of individual prisoners.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address complex issues and meet the challenges of a demanding work environment.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and skills, as well as deliver outcomes within a structured environment.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to meet the challenges of a demanding work environment.
  • Planning and organizing skills to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and experience using Microsoft Office and database applications.
