
Global Financial Crimes Manager

Job Overview:
This role is responsible for implementing the global financial crimes program in the Asia Pacific region, ensuring effective risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Front Line Units and Control Functions, to drive consistent execution of the financial crimes program.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate compliance risks in alignment with the Compliance Risk Management Program.
- Perform gap analysis of Enterprise/Country standards against new or revised financial crimes laws, rules, and regulations in the Asia Pacific region.
- Review and escalate financial crimes inquiries, risks, and concerns, working closely with Money Laundering Reporting Officers to develop risk mitigating controls.
- Contribute to risk coverage plans, execute independent risk monitoring, testing, and risk assessments.
- Assist in the identification, aggregation, reporting, and escalation of remediation and thematic analysis of FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements related to financial crimes.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 12 years' experience in a similar or related role in a financial institution, legal or consultancy firm, or with a regulatory authority.
- Anti-money laundering/financial crimes experience in a financial institution or government position in a Financial Services institution and/or related government entity is strongly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid influencing capability, and ability to make decisions in a rapidly changing environment.
- A flexible and solution-driven perspective, ability to solve problems, and determination to seek answers to complex issues.
- The ability to synthesize laws, rules, and regulations into practice.
