Digital Image Assets Manager

This is a dynamic position responsible for the acquisition, management and dissemination of digital image assets.
About the Role- We are seeking an experienced professional to manage our extensive collection of images, ensuring they are accurately cataloged and accessible for both internal and external users.
- The ideal candidate will have expertise in digital asset management systems and experience working with metadata, including data entry, digitization equipment and image manipulation software.
- They must also possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
- To develop and implement strategies for managing physical and digital image assets within our organization.
- To curate botanical image collections housed at our facility, acquiring and adding images from various sources while recording metadata and licensing information.
- To ensure compliance with copyright and intellectual property requirements when using images from multiple collections.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and curate an image collection to a high standard.
- Experience in working with metadata management within a Digital Asset Management system for back-of-house curation.
- Understanding of linkages between scientific collections, particularly in botanic gardens and herbaria.
- Ability to manage a workplan to achieve quality outcomes using initiative and independent judgement.
- Capacity to implement new ideas and approaches to improve processes and outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
