Food Safety Expert Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Food Safety expert to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level and enjoy a great work-life balance.

The role involves providing consultation and support to ensure all departmental managers and key stakeholders have a sound understanding of standards and legislative requirements to achieve periodic certification in line with the QHSE Governance Matrix and comply with relevant QHS legislation.

You will also coordinate activities and practices to achieve domestic and international customer, supplier, and industry body certification requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating the periodic review and update of all QHS related policies and procedures in collaboration with the HR & QHSE Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation and support to ensure all departmental managers and key stakeholders have a sound understanding of standards and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate activities and practices to achieve domestic and international customer, supplier, and industry body certification requirements.
  • Coordinating the periodic review and update of all QHS related policies and procedures.
  • Supporting QHSE objectives across the organisation, ensuring business-wide operations adhere to such policies and procedures via internal audit processes.
  • Reporting on QHS performance and status of all activities periodically to the HR & QHSE Manager.
  • Championing and educating all departments and team members to contribute to the company's QHSE Systems in line with individual responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • An understanding of food safety standards SQF and/or BRC.
  • Experience in domestic and international legislative and accreditation requirements, Food Safety, Quality, and OHS requirements with an ability to identify improvement opportunities and develop continual improvement programs.
  • Organics certification requirements for Domestic and International markets would be desirable.
