About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paid Social Lead to join our Growth team at Koala. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the direction of our social media ad performance across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize our social media ad campaigns, ensuring they are best in class and constantly growing. You will work closely with our platform partners to gain access to relevant alphas, betas, and data support, and will be responsible for analyzing and modeling market size opportunities for growth through social campaigns.

We are looking for a creative and data-driven self-starter with a growth mindset who is passionate about social media and growth marketing. You will lead the creative direction for ads best practice through continuously testing and refining ad strategies based on performance metrics and market trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily management of Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest ads to daily performance targets.
  • Contribute to the Koala Growth Strategy through establishing opportunities and objectives within Paid Social using Creative, Data, Campaign Optimization, and testing and Audiences.
  • Optimize budget across all campaigns with various targets towards reach, ROAS/CPA targets, and Retargeting objectives, all towards reaching growth and ROAS targets overall.
  • Design and run the Paid Social strategy across top, middle, and bottom funnel campaigns to efficiently drive new user acquisition and brand growth.
  • Automate core processes of managing the ads account to drive efficiency using external tools, rules, and data projects.
  • Granularly assess, optimize, and research top-performing creative outputs that drive performance, fit brand ethos, and exceed innovation expectations.
  • Design and run the testing program for all creative with SMART goals and reporting insights back to the production team to constantly improve Social Ad Creative.
  • Design and run tests to discover further account and targeting efficiency from best practices, new platform features, and net-new data-driven concepts.
  • Be the thought leader of branded and performance social content and strategy, sharing insights regularly with the global group.
  • Conduct regular health checks on the accounts, ensuring best practice is always implemented.
  • Maintain a close relationship with platform partners, working to gain access to relevant alphas, betas, and data support.
  • Manage and optimize feeds to drive incremental performance through feed-driven performance campaigns.
  • Analyze and model market size opportunities for growth through social campaigns, and present back to the leadership team.
  • Regular weekly and monthly reporting on key improvements in Meta and TikTok Ads for planning learnings and tests coming up.
Ideal Background
  • 5-7+ years of hands-on experience running performance Social campaigns across Meta (Essential) and TikTok (preferred).
  • E-commerce performance experience essential.
  • Proven data-driven decision-making abilities across budgets, optimizations, and audiences bidding.
  • Experience in creative creative strategy for growth in social media, with a focus on paid performance creative.
  • Proficient in designing automated reports for social platforms (experience in Motion preferred).
  • Proficient in Google Sheets/Excel, designing automated reports.
  • Proven experience in designing test and learn strategies to drive growth through all campaign types.
  • Proficient in the use of analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, etc.
  • Experience in working in fast-paced team environments, contributing to successful outcomes.
  • Keen eye for detail, with the ability to understand briefs and interpret them into actions, producing high-quality output.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, with the ability to pivot where required and prioritize effectively.
  • Highly collaborative, team player, working to joint goals and as part of a high-performing team with a can-do attitude.
