We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our team at Deputy, a global company that values inclusivity and diversity. As a key member of our security practice, you will play a crucial role in identifying, testing, mitigating, and responding to security issues and incidents.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects that meet our monthly, quarterly, or yearly roadmap objectives. You will work closely with our team to define security solutions, select the best approach, and implement necessary risk-reduction measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning and delivering projects to meet our security objectives
  • Defining security solutions and collaborating with the team to select the best approach
  • Implementing controls to address vulnerabilities in our applications
  • Assisting with penetration testing exercises and triaging bug bounty submissions
  • Performing code reviews for security remedial work and fixing code-based vulnerabilities
  • Participating in discussions regarding web/mobile application vulnerability remediation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in information security fundamentals, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the industry
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to lead with influence rather than relying on authority
  • Excellent presentation and written documentation skills
  • A builder mindset, with a willingness to learn and execute with high agency
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices, including AWS tools and risk mitigation strategies
  • Experience with distributed web-based applications services, including PHP, Go, and JS
  • Knowledge of source code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and associated security tooling
  • Secure SDLC, DAST, and SAST experience
  • Web application penetration testing, secure coding, and source code analysis experience
  • Experience with Bug Bounty programs
