About Parklife Metro JV

Parklife Metro JV is leading a transformative Metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport. This joint venture aims to deliver 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility.

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery team.

Job Description:

  • Contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards
  • Review and understand construction drawings, specifications, and method statements
  • Develop methods for precast elements install for bridges, station structure, and facade panels
  • Identify project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions
  • Liaise, communicate, and plan with foremen and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes
  • Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards
  • Ensure works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation
  • Participate in cost management of daily activities
  • Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assist in the preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports, 3-week lookahead programs, etc.
  • Monitor progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back as necessary
  • Manage allocated work packages and resources to ensure costs are within or below budget
  • Maintain Concrete and Reinforcement tracking registers
  • Assist in the procurement of major packages, materials, and resources

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Structural) or Project Management
  • 2+ years experience minimum within the Construction industry post-graduation
  • Previous exposure to building and structural projects
