About the Organization:
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service operates the Moura Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS), located approximately 180 kilometers from Rockhampton in the lush Dawson Valley. This facility features a modern design, including 2 emergency department resuscitation bays, 2 short stay beds, 2 inpatient bays, 2 treatment rooms, and 3 consultation rooms, having been completed in May 2015. The MPHS represents an innovative approach to healthcare delivery, blending outpatient services with traditional hospital functions.
Role Responsibilities:
The Medical Officer in Private Practice (MOPP) will collaborate closely with the Medical Superintendent of Private Practice (MSPP) to deliver high-quality medical care to both inpatients and outpatients at the Moura Hospital. This includes providing comprehensive coverage for the emergency department around the clock. The role also allows for private practice opportunities at a surgery managed by the MSPP.
Candidate Profile:
To excel in this position, candidates must possess an MBBS or equivalent qualification and be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia, under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Compensation and Benefits:
The total remuneration package can reach up to $261,515 per annum, which includes:
- An annual salary ranging from $182,106 to $193,468.
- A 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
