Aboriginal Health Navigator Role

This position is an essential component of our Mental Health Service, requiring a professional with the ability to provide culturally responsive care to Aboriginal communities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal people;

  • Building strong relationships with community leaders and organisations;
  • Providing education and training on cultural competence and awareness;

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a health or management-related field;
  • Relevant work experience in Aboriginal health or a related field;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of complex issues affecting Aboriginal health and wellbeing;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Current driver's licence.
