Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and present dishes that embody exceptional taste, presentation, and creativity, incorporating Teppanyaki artistry and authentic Japanese cooking techniques.
  2. Deliver engaging Teppanyaki performances that combine precision cooking with guest interaction, fostering an unforgettable dining experience.
  3. Lead, train, and mentor junior chefs, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency across kitchen operations.
  4. Support menu planning, seasonal reviews, and guest feedback initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
  5. Monitor food quality, stock control, portioning, and cost management to optimize kitchen performance.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry standards for food safety, HACCP, and WHS at all times.
  7. Contribute to hotel-wide banquets, events, and special functions as required, showcasing your adaptability and professionalism.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in a similar chef role within a luxury hotel or high-volume restaurant environment.
  2. For Teppanyaki roles: Demonstrated experience in Teppanyaki showmanship, guest engagement, and authentic Japanese cooking techniques.
  3. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences.
  4. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with flexibility across evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  5. Certificate in Food Safety Handling or willingness to obtain.
