National Clinical Coder/HIM-Casual Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced clinical coder to join our Health Information Services team as a casual coder. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for accurately coding patient separations using ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and Australian Coding Standards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment and collaborate with professionals in the field. The ideal candidate will possess high-level knowledge of Australian Coding Standards and have a minimum of two years' experience in clinical coding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately code patient separations in accordance with established standards
  • Liaise with clinical staff to obtain necessary documentation and information
  • Prioritize and manage workload effectively to meet deadlines
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Health Information Management or relevant qualification
  • High-level knowledge of Australian Coding Standards and classification systems
  • Minimum two years' experience in clinical coding, preferably in a healthcare setting
